Devyn Galindo is a Queer, Chicanx, Two-Spirit photographer based in Los Angeles, California. Born in Garden Grove, California, but having grown up bouncing from state to state, she feels fearlessly nomadic and travels frequently. She would describe herself as honest, impulsive, an adventure seeker and a risk taker.
Recently she has been on the road working on her latest series, The Van Dykes Project. Sweet Pea, Devyn’s ’78 VW camper van, works as a traveling studio, documenting queer stories across the country. It’s both a travelogue of her journey as well as the creation of an ongoing visual project documenting the stories of LGBTQ folks from around the US. The Van Dykes Project aims to preserve queer oral history for future generations, practicing activism through art.
